Preparation

Before you partake in the ceremony our lead psychotherapist will prepare you for this profound journey. They will guide you to set goals and a clear mindset to receive the most benefit from this experience.

Ceremony

Away from a standard day-to-day life and surrounded by beautiful nature, where you will begin your profound self-discovery and healing. We will facilitate two psilocybin ceremonies, sound healing, meditation, and other therapeutic modalities to provide you an optimal experience.

Integration

Our integration program include one-on-one and group sessions, short daily practices, to sustain and integrate your ceremony experience. Participants appreciate fostering an ongoing connection with their retreat group and some even building lasting friendships.

TRADD COTTER
Mycologist - Author - Founder of Blue Portal

Tradd Cotter is a microbiologist, professional mycologist, and retired landscape designer who has been cultivating mushrooms both commercially and experimentally for more than thirty years. He is the author of the best-selling book Organic Mushroom Farming and Mycoremediation (2014) and has won numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Clemson University Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the EPA GRO-U Fellowship Award, and the Gary Lincoff Award. His ongoing research projects include bacterial interactions with fungi, mycopesticides, novel antibiotic discovery, and the isolation of native mycorrhizal species for bioregional-specific inoculants for plants. In 2022, Tradd sold Mushroom Mountain, which he founded in 1996, to pursue his interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy and to focus on research in the medical field. Tradd currently is co-owner of Blue Portal, a mycologically-focused company specializing in psychedelic therapy and cultivation, medicinal innovations, and industrial applications for fungi.

IRENE DUBIN
Lead Psychotherapist - Co-Owner of Blue Portal

Born and raised in Eastern Europe and Siberia, Irene completed BS/MS study in Pharmacology and received a Master’s in psychology with emphasis in addiction counseling. During Irene’s academic and professional study, she gravitated towards Somatic therapeutic modalities, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Art therapy, Depth Psychology. Her non-traditional studies include entheogenic research from a variety of sources, apprenticeship with a Shaman in Druid College, Sound therapy, Breath work, and Psychedelic integration practicum for clinicians. Irene has lived in the United States since 1998, owns a private psychotherapy practice and is the lead psychotherapist for the Blue Portal facilitating psilocybin-assisted retreats overseas. She is an affiliate of MAPS, and a graduate of Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at JKFU in California.

GIA BEDELL
Facilitator - Somatic Psychotherapist

 

Gia is an Associate Somatic Psychotherapist, licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga and Embodiment Teacher/Educator. She graduated from JFK University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, emphasis in Somatic Psychotherapy. Gia’s therapeutic orientations include grief tending and processing, self-compassion and self-care, mindfulness, meditation, breath focus, embodiment/movement, imaginal and visualization work, ritual and ceremonial somatics, art therapy, group facilitation, and eco based healing. Gia is currently finishing her Associateship at a community mental health clinic in California, both one on one and in group settings. Gia’s greatest influences and tools for personal growth and facilitation include a rich relationship with nature, ritual, poetry, ancient/indigenous history, and art. She believes by attuning to the natural world around us and within us, we are able to  access our memory of connection rather than separation. It is her wish to build community by creating and holding space in which people may arrive as they are and feel confident that they are well supported.
